About Epro – Precision Predator Control
Based in Taupō, Epro is an industry leading, privately owned family business that delivers a range of predator control services to private and public sector clients throughout New Zealand. For more than 25 years, the company has been committed to delivering specialised services, working on the front lines of the battle to protect New Zealand’s biodiversity through aerial and ground control and survey programmes.
We as a team are passionate about protecting New Zealand’s most vulnerable native wildlife, contributing to the regeneration of our native flora and fauna and protecting our valuable export market by eradicating bovine tuberculosis (TB). There are exciting opportunities in the industry, and we continue to expand our operations so we can deliver great results for our clients and enhance New Zealand’s biodiversity.
Epro has sought-after expertise for other related activities, such as providing specialist technical advice, helping develop industry innovations and participating in formal research. We recognise that quality and innovation are key drivers of business success along with the continuous development of our highly skilled staff, which has made Epro a market leader.
Thanks to our team’s hard work and dedication, we are now one of the leading providers of conservation services and precision predator control in New Zealand.

ISO 9001:2015 – Quality Management System
ISO 45001:2018 – Health and Safety Management System
Health and safety
At Epro, our culture for the entire business is built around looking after each other and ensuring everyone has a voice. Staff are highly trained and given experience in all tasks, to ensure that task implementation is both safe and efficiently completed.
We actively manage our critical risks and provide extensive training to all our employees, particularly the field-based staff.
Working with landowners
Land access is critical to every component of our work implementation. Our mahi is undertaken on land of various types and different ownership structures, and we fully respect those engagement processes to understand an individual or collective viewpoint for their land, and find solutions that are going to be acceptable for the overall programme. Kaitiakitanga, while a traditional Māori concept, is often seen and practised through many ownership structures for land preservation in NZ. It’s about care, guardianship and respecting those values that are important for that particular landowner on their whenua. They can also be very different from one land block to another, so understanding those variables allows Epro to provide for the best outcomes for everyone.
Many of these engagement processes that happen before any boots hit the ground take some time to evolve as patai are heard, discussions are held, education happens, and all the relevant stakeholders are part of that journey. Epro focuses on developing trust by doing what we say we are going to do, with the belief that we can come back to those people in future years and be welcomed back in for a cuppa.
