Ground Operations

Strategic implementation of landscape predator control

Epro offer expert ground operations for predator control. Removing invasive predators is not a one-time quick fix; it requires a long-term strategy with constant monitoring and persistence. At Epro, we will work with you to understand your affected land and create a comprehensive plan to reduce pests. Ground control of pests is labour intensive, and we have developed successful strategies to ensure the most efficient implementation of ground control plans. We employ passionate people to deliver our control programmes, using the best equipment in the most effective way.

Ground Operations: Toxins

Installing a network of bait stations into accessible bush, forestry, and farmland provides effective, repeat control that can be serviced efficiently over several years. Toxins are removed at the end of the cycle, making it suitable for areas used for hunting or farming. The hand laying of toxic baits is a targeted method that gets bait to where the pests are known to be. It is often used in forestry or accessible areas that requires accurate application.

Ground Operations: Trapping

Leghold trapping techniques are an effective tool, particularly in areas where predators may be toxin shy, or where toxins are unable to be used. Helping develop innovations, such as automated traps, means that we can trap multiple species with one self-resetting device that doesn’t need servicing as often. Some traps are programmed to be inactive during daylight hours, protecting our native species. Trapping is an important part of our ground operations.
